Lord Speaker meets President of Kosovo

The Lord Speaker, Baroness D'Souza, met the President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, in the House of Lords yesterday (Monday 24 June)
The meeting follows a visit to Parliament last October by Jakup Krasniqi, President of the Assembly of Kosovo, and included discussions on the ongoing EU twinning project in support of capacity building in the Assembly.
On this week's agenda
- On Tuesday 25 June, the Lord Speaker will give a welcome speech at the G8 Deauville Partnership Women’s Conference at Lancaster House.
- On the same day, she is set to speak about the role and work of the House of Lords to an audience of officials at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
- On Thursday 26 June, she will chair the CPA UK AGM in her role as joint president.
- Later that day, she will deliver a welcome speech at the Industry & Parliament Trust reception hosted by Baroness Harris of Richmond.
