Parliament to hold Public Bill Seminar in Manchester

Are you interested in finding out how you can have your say on a proposed law progressing through Parliament?

Parliament's Outreach Service held a free Public Bill Seminar on Friday 12 July 2013, 2-4pm on how to engage with Parliament’s scrutiny of legislation.

This event demonstrated how you can best engage with MPs and Lords and improve your campaigning.

What the Public Bill Seminar looked at

The seminar covered:

  • How a bill progresses through Parliament
  • What happens during a bill’s pre-legislative stages
  • Where to find authoritative information online
  • How you can engage with bills going through Parliament

Experts from the Houses of Parliament were on hand to answer any questions on the parliamentary scrutiny of a bill and gave advice on how to track the progress of bills.

The event took place on Friday 12 July 2013, 2-4pm at the Friends Meeting House, 6 Mount Street, Manchester, M2 5NS.
