President of the Republic of Korea visits UK Parliament

The President of the Republic of Korea, Park Geun-hye, gave an address to members of both Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 5 November, as part of her visit to the UK

Heads of government on an official visit usually address members of both Houses as part of their formal programme. The subject matter is not predetermined, however the focus is often on current global issues.

Commons Speaker, John Bercow MP, gave a welcome address introducing the President's speech.

The Lord Speaker, Baroness D’Souza, thanked the President following her speech.
