The Prime Minister, David Cameron, made a statement in the House of Commons on 18 November 2013 on the recent disaster in the Philippines and on the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. Leader of the Opposition, Ed Miliband, responded on behalf of the Official Opposition.

The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM)

The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) is held every two years to enable leaders of Commonwealth countries to come together to discuss global and Commonwealth issues, and to decide on collective policies and initiatives. 

The 2013 meeting took place from 10 to 17 November in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
