Parliamentary Under-Secretary at the Department for Communities and Local Government, Kris Hopkins, made a statement in the House of Commons on Thursday 18 December 2014, on local government finance.

Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Hilary Benn, responded on behalf of the Opposition.

Provisional local government finance settlement

The local government finance settlement is the annual determination of funding to local government. It needs to be approved by the House of Commons.
 
The provisional local government finance settlement for 2015 to 2016 is available on the Government's website.

The final 2015 to 2016 settlement will be laid before the House of Commons in February.
