Parliament to hold free seminar in Birmingham

Are you interested in finding out how you can have your say on a proposed law progressing through Parliament?
Parliament's Outreach Service is holding a free Public Bill Seminar on Friday 28 February 2014, from 2.30 to 4.30pm on how to engage with Parliament’s scrutiny of legislation.
This event will demonstrate how you can best engage with MPs and Lords and improve your campaigning.
What the Public Bill Seminar will look at
The seminar will cover:
- How a bill progresses through Parliament
- What select committees do and how they work
- Where to find authoritative information online
- How you can engage with bills going through Parliament
Speakers at the event include Gisela Stuart MP, Member for Birmingham Edgbaston and Lord Hunt of Kings Heath, plus experts from the Houses of Parliament.
Staff from the Houses of Parliament Outreach Service will also be on hand to answer any questions on the parliamentary scrutiny of a bill and gave advice on how to track the progress of bills.
