Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, made a statement in the House of Commons on Thursday 26 June on NHS investigations into Jimmy Savile. Shadow Secretary of State for Health, Andy Burnham, responded to the statement on behalf of the Opposition.

Kate Lampard, a former barrister and former Deputy Chair of the Financial Ombudsman Service, was appointed by the Secretary of State for Health in October 2012 to provide independent oversight of three independent investigations into the role of Jimmy Savile in the NHS.

NHS investigation reports

The reports into the activities of Jimmy Savile in relation to hospitals/hospice premises have been published by the relevant hospital trusts.
