The Prime Minister, David Cameron, made a statement in the House of Commons on Monday 30 June on the recent meeting of the European Council. Labour leader, Edward Miliband, responded to the statement on behalf of the Opposition.

The Prime Minister attended the meeting of the European Council on 26 and 27 June. Points of discussion at the meeting included the candidate for President of the European Commission, the European strategic agenda and President Poroshenko's peace plan for Ukraine.
