Parliament to hold event on men's health in Barnsley

The Houses of Parliament's Outreach Service is to hold a free event in Barnsley on Friday 13 June 2014 focusing on how people can engage with Parliament on men’s health issues.
Held in partnership with Barnsley FC Community Sports and Education Trust, the event will give attendees practical and useful information on how to work with politicians on men’s health issues and provide an opportunity to debate issues related to men’s health.
There will also be networking opportunities, and the chance to access advice on maintaining your own health!
Event speakers
Speakers will include:
- Daniel Wood (Parliament's Outreach Service)
- Colin Penning (Men’s Health Forum )
- Nigel Harrison (Chief Executive South Yorkshire Sport and West Yorkshire Sport)
Who can attend?
- People working for local authorities, charities and businesses, as well as interested individuals.
- People with an interest in physical health, mental health, wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.
- Men and women of all ages.
Lunch and light refreshments will be available.
This event is organised by the Parliamentary Outreach Service in partnership Barnsley FC Community Sports and Education Trust, as part of Men’s Health Week 2014.
