Are you interested in finding out how you can have your say on a proposed law that is progressing through Parliament?

Parliament’s Outreach Service is providing a free Public Bill Seminar on Thursday 5 June 2014, for individuals and groups interested in finding out how to engage with Parliament’s scrutiny of legislation.

The Queen will formally open the 2014-2015 Parliamentary session with the Queen’s Speech at the State Opening of Parliament on 4 June 2014.

The speech will set out the Government’s proposals for new laws to be examined by Parliament in the new session.

This event will demonstrate how you can best engage with MPs and Lords and improve your campaigning.

What the Public Bill Seminar will look at

The seminar will cover

  • How a bill goes through Parliament
  • How you can engage with a bill going through Parliament
  • Pre-legislative stages of a bill
