Open event tonight in Cardiff with the Commons Speaker

As part of an evening recognising the importance of volunteering to politics, the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow MP, will give a special lecture tonight, 5 June, in Cardiff, coinciding with National Volunteers Week 2014.
With an introduction by Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales, Dame Rosemary Butler AM, this unique event will be held in partnership with the Wales Governance Centre at Cardiff University chaired by its Director Professor Richard Wyn Jones.
There will be an open floor discussion with the speakers, with an opportunity for questions, after the lecture.
Who can attend?
The event is free and open to all, and would be of particular interest to those working or involved in the voluntary sector in Wales.
How to attend
To join us for this event come to the Pierhead building in Cardiff Bay at 6pm for registration and refreshments.
During registration there will also be information available from the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) and the Houses of Parliament Outreach Service in Wales.
Places for this event are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
