Mark Reckless elected MP for Rochester and Strood

Mark Reckless of the UK Independence Party has become Member of Parliament for Rochester and Strood after winning the by-election held in that constituency on 20 November 2014.

The by-election was called after Mark Reckless announced his intention to resign as Conservative MP for Rochester and Strood on 27 September 2014 and to stand as UKIP candidate in the by-election that would follow.
