Secretary of State for Scotland, Alistair Carmichael, made a statement in the House of Commons on Thursday 27 November 2014 on the report by the Smith Commission. Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland, Margaret Curran, responded on behalf of the Opposition.

On 19 September, Prime Minister David Cameron announced that Lord Smith of Kelvin had agreed to oversee the process to take forward the devolution commitments on further powers for the Scottish Parliament, following the referendum vote on 18 September 2014. The report was published on Thursday 27 November 2014.
