Parliament to hold event in Dorchester on engaging with legislation

Are you interested in finding out how you can have your say on proposed laws as they are progressing through Parliament?
Parliament’s Outreach Service is to hold a free Public Bill Seminar on Thursday 16 October 2014 at 7-9pm in Dorchester, for individuals and groups interested in finding out how to engage with Parliament’s scrutiny of legislation.
The seminar will demonstrate how you can best engage with MPs and Peers and improve your campaigning.
Speakers include expert Parliamentary staff.
What the Public Bill Seminar will look at
The seminar will cover:
- How a bill progresses through Parliament
- What select committees do and how they work
- Where to find authoritative information online
- How you can engage with bills going through Parliament and improve your campaigning
