On Monday 8 September a small bottle of water collected from the source of the River Thames was presented to The Houses of Parliament where it will stay in the custody of the Serjeant at Arms. The bottle, now in the fourth week of its 45 day journey along the entire length of the Thames, will stay the night within the Houses of Parliament before moving on to its next destination.

Sea Cadets from the Kingston and Southwark Units marched the bottle through the Houses of Parliament to the Speaker’s apartments where Petty Officer Cadet Wood from Southwark Sea Cadets handed to the bottle over to Mr Speaker. Mr Speaker was delighted to accept the bottle into the Houses of Parliament and congratulated the Cadets for their efforts.

After a small reception within the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 9th September the bottle will move to the Southbank Centre, via a ride on the London Eye.
