Lords debates Strategic Defence and Security Review

Members of the Lords, including a former minister of state for the Ministry of Defence and a former first sea lord of the Royal Navy, debated the UK’s role in supporting international security and stability in the light of the Strategic Defence and Security Review, on Thursday 3 December.
This was a general debate. They usually take place on a Thursday in the Lords chamber. During debates, members are able to put their experience to good use, discussing current issues and drawing the government's attention to concerns.
The debate was tabled by Earl Attlee (Conservative), serving officer in the Territorial Army.
