Lords debates UK economy

Members of the Lords, including a former minister of state for the Treasury and the chairman of Cobra Beer, debated the state of economy in light of the Autumn Statement, on Thursday 3 December.
This was a general debate. They usually take place on a Thursday in the Lords chamber. During debates, members are able to put their experience to good use, discussing current issues and drawing the government's attention to concerns.
The debate was requested by Lord Carrington of Fulham (Conservative), deputy chairman of Gatehouse Bank PLC.
