Lords second reading: Thursday 12 February
Members discussed the key points of the bill, which, for the next 10 years, would mean any vacancy among the Lords spiritual in the House would be filled by the most senior female diocesan bishop available. If there were no eligible female bishops, the vacancy would be filled by the most senior male diocesan bishop.
Committee stage, a chance for line-by-line scrutiny, is yet to be scheduled.
