Penny Young appointed Librarian and Director General of Information Services

Penny Young has been appointed Librarian and Director General of Information Services at the House of Commons. Penny is currently Chief Executive of NatCen Social Research, where she has worked since 2009.
Having trained at the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys (a forerunner of the Office for National Statistics), Penny has also worked as Director of Research at Which? and Head of Audiences at the BBC Trust. She comes to the House of Commons with extensive expertise in research, public information and public engagement. We are in the process of finalising a start date.
