MPs debated a motion to approve the Charter for Budget Responsibility: Autumn Statement 2014 update, on Tuesday 13 January 2015.

MPs voted to approve the motion. (Division No. 129 Ayes 515 votes, Noes 18 votes).

Charter for Budget Responsibility

The Budget Responsibility and National Audit Act 2011, section 1, requires that the Charter for Budget Responsibility, and any modifications to it, is laid before Parliament and approved by the House of Commons before it can come into force.
