MPs debate Queen's Speech: Day 6 -The economy

On the final day of debate on the Queen's Speech in the House of Commons on Thursday 4 June 2015, MPs debated those aspects of the speech relating to the economy.
The Speaker selected amendment (e) in the name of the Leader of the Opposition, and amendments (a) and (b). The debate was opened on behalf of the Opposition by Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, Chris Leslie.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne responded on behalf of the Government.
Amendment (e) in the name of the Leader of the Opposition was negatived on division (Division No. 2: Ayes 278 votes, Noes 325 votes)
Amendment (b) was negatived on division (Division No. 3: Ayes 60 votes, Noes 318 votes)
Amendment (a) was not moved.
The main question was agreed on division (Division No. 4: Ayes 326 votes, Noes 279 votes)
