Parliament commemorates the First World War with Elizabeth Tower projection.

For a second year, falling poppies will be projected onto the Elizabeth Tower from dusk on Remembrance Sunday. The poppies will commemorate those who perished in the First World War, with a special focus on 1915.

The poppies will continue to fall throughout the evening on Remembrance Sunday, accompanied by the names of battles in which British and Commonwealth soldiers fought and died in 1915. Images will be shared on social media with the hashtag #bigbenpoppies.

The projection is a key moment in Parliament’s contribution to the centenary commemorations, which also includes historical and educational resources, access these resources on the Parliament and the First World War pages.
