This week in the House of Commons MPs debated Tax Credits, the Welfare Reform and Work Bill and more.
Legislation: Government Bills
Finance Bill
The remaining stages of the Finance Bill were debated on Monday 26 October. The Bill passed Third Reading and will now progress to the House of Lords.
Welfare Reform and Work Bill
The remaining stages of the Welfare Reform and Work Bill were debated on Tuesday 27 October. The Bill passed Third Reading and will now progress to the House of Lords.
Legislation: Private Members Bills
Two Private Members Bills were introduced to the House following Ten Minute Rule Motions this week:
- Benefit Sanctions Regime (Entitlement to Automatic Hardship Payments) Bill
- Regulation of Enforcement Agents (Collection of Council Tax Arrears) Bill
On Friday 30 October 2015 MPs debated the Hospital Parking Charges (Exemption for Carers) Bill. The debate was adjourned. No future date has yet been announced for Second Reading.
Opposition Day debate: Steel industry and junior doctors' contracts
