Lords debates Palestinian children

Members of the Lords, including a board member of UNICEF and members who have worked for Save the Children and Oxfam, debated the conditions in which Palestinian children are living and the impact on their health and wellbeing, in the House of Lords on Thursday 21 July.
This was a balloted debate. They normally take place on a Thursday in the chamber. During debates, members are able to put their experience to good use, discussing current issues and drawing the government's attention to concerns.
The debate was proposed by Lord Warner (Non-affiliated), former chairman of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations and health minister.

- Lord Oates (Liberal Democrat), former policy and communications coordinator for the Youth Justice Board

Baroness Mobarik (Conservative), government spokesperson in the Lords, responded on behalf of the government.
