Lords debates confidence in public institutions

Members of the Lords, including a former member of the BBC Charter Review Committee and a member of Constitution Committee, debated the role of openness and transparency in reinforcing confidence in public institutions, on Thursday 30 June.
This was a balloted debate. They usually take place on a Thursday in the Lords chamber. During debates, members are able to put their experience to good use, discussing current issues and drawing the government's attention to concerns.
The debate was proposed by Lord Fairfax of Cameron (Conservative).
