House of Lords Private Members’ Bill ballot 2016-17

At the start of each session of Parliament, a ballot is held to agree the order in which private members’ bills (draft laws put forward by individual members rather than the government) will be introduced in the Lords.

The ballot for this session was held on the morning of the day following State Opening and bills were drawn in the order set out below.
