Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, John Whittingdale, made a statement in the House of Commons on Thursday 12 May 2016 on the BBC Charter White Paper, 'A BBC for the future: a broadcaster of distinction'.
Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Maria Eagle, responded to the statement on behalf of the Opposition.
