Legislation: Government Bills

Housing and Planning Bill

This Government Bill was introduced to the House of Commons on 13 October 2015. The Bill completed its stage in the Commons on 12 January 2016. The Bill then went to the House of Lords for consideration and this was completed on 27 April 2016.

MPs debated amendments made by the House of Lords to the Housing and Planning Bill on Tuesday 3 May 2016. The Commons disagreed to a number of the Lords Amendments and sent its Reasons to the Lords for their consideration.

Legislation: Private Members' Bills

Two Private Members' Bills were introduced to the House following Ten Minute Rule Motions this week:

Private Members' Bills are debated on thirteen Fridays in each session. The last sitting Friday for the consideration of Private Members' Bills for the 2015-16 session was 11 March 2016.
