Lords debates opportunities for global free trade

Members of the Lords, including a member of the Advisory Council of the European Policy Forum and a former vice-president of the European Commission, debated the opportunities presented by the UK's vote to leave the EU for the promotion of global free trade, and the impact on domestic and international trade, in the House of Lords on Thursday 27 October.

This was a general debate. They normally take place on a Thursday in the chamber. During debates, members are able to put their experience to good use, discussing current issues and drawing the government's attention to concerns.
