Lords private members' bills
28 April 2017
The House of Lords considered four private members' bills at third reading on Thursday 27 April, covering access to local audit documents, equality of employment rights on merchant ships, the property and affairs of missing persons and the registration of farriers.
A private member's bill is a type of public bill (that affects the public). Private members' bills must go through the same set of procedures as other public bills.
No changes to these bills were suggested by members of the Lords ahead of third reading.
