Urgent Question on the Social Mobility Commission: 4 December 2017

Liberal Democrat Leader Vince Cable asked an Urgent Question on the resignation of the board of the Social Mobility Commission, in the House of Commons on Monday 4 December 2017.

All four members of the board resigned over the previous weekend. In his resignation letter the former Chair of the Commission, Alan Milburn (pictured), stated that the Government "seems unable to devote the necessary energy and focus to the social mobility agenda".
