Coming up in the Lords: 6-9 February
3 February 2017 (updated on 3 February 2017)
The House of Lords has a busy calendar shaping laws and checking and challenging the work of the government. See what's on in the Lords next week.
Bills and debates taking place in the Moses Room in the House of Lords are referred to as happening in Grand Committee. Proceedings are identical to those in the chamber except that voting is not allowed, as there are no voting lobbies (corridors to walk through in order to show which way a member is voting) in the Moses Room. This means that all decisions must be unanimous. Any member of the House of Lords may attend.
