A phased re-opening of the Houses of Parliament will begin with pre-booked guided tours only on Saturday.

As with other key sites across the country, we have continued to review our security in light of the tragic events in Manchester and, working closely with the police, have decided to take this first step to restoring public access to Parliament, which is fundamental to a thriving parliamentary democracy. We will continue to work with the police to extend this to other activities in the forthcoming days.

Visitors should expect enhanced security measures upon arrival at Parliament. Visit Parliament staff will be in touch with those with existing bookings for Saturday.

Please note: audio tours are not yet recommencing.
