The Leader of the House of Commons, Andrea Leadsom, made a statement in the House of Commons on an independent complaints and grievance policy on Thursday 16 November 2017.
The Leader of the House updated MPs on steps that are being taken to tackle harassment and abuse in Parliament, including the establishment of a cross-party working group.
Valerie Vaz, the Shadow Leader of the House, responded on behalf of the Opposition, suggesting some immediate steps that could be taken to address the issue of harassment.
