Consideration of Lords amendments

The debate was opened by Jesse Norman, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport, with Shadow Transport Minister Karl Turner responding on behalf of the Opposition.

The House of Commons agreed to a range of amendments made in the House of Lords.

The Automated and Electric Vehicles Bill 2017-19

Summary of the Bill

The Automated and Electric Vehicles Bill aims to:

  • Specify who is liable for damages following accidents caused by automated vehicles.
  • Improve the network of charging points for electric vehicles.
