Report stage is a further change to examine and make amendments (changes) to a bill.

Lords committees

In a packed week for House of Lords committees, there are three committee report debates in the chamber and 12 public evidence sessions.

Debates

Committees investigate broad, long-term issues and write reports on their findings. The reports are debated in the House of Lords and any member may take part. A member of the government must respond. The following select committee reports are scheduled to be debated this week.

• Constitution Committee - The Union and devolution
• European Union Committee - Brexit: devolution

Committees meet people, organisations and government representatives during their investigations to question them and hear different viewpoints. The following committees have public meetings scheduled this week.

Debates
