MPs are to debate Ways and Means motions relating to a new Finance Bill on 6 September.

The debate is expected to start at 12.45pm following questions to the Prime Minister, but may be later if any Urgent Questions or statements are granted on the day.

There are 48 motions being debated, each of which covers a different aspect of taxation or financial policy. MPs will hold a single debate covering all 48 motions.

If the House agrees to the motions, the Government will introduce a Finance Bill, to be published on Friday 8 September.

Transcripts of proceedings in the House of Commons Chamber are available three hours after they happen via Hansard online.
