Preservation and Access at the Parliamentary Archives

The Preservation and Access Team includes Collection Care, conserving our precious collections and preparing them for digitisation or loan; the Imaging team who undertake programmes of digitisation of collections for public access, provide our public copying service and increasingly get involved in digitisation and photography work for other departments around the Palace. This move to a digital work is underpinned by the work of our Digital Preservation team, securing the digital outputs from across the Houses of Parliament. Archivists in the team are also responsible for cataloguing records (digital as well as paper), managing our online catalogue, getting digitised images online and developing other online services and search tools.
