Sport England gave evidence to the House of Lords Social Policies and Consumer Protection Committee on Thursday 9 December as part of its inquiry into Grassroots Sport and the EU.

The Committee heard from the organisation’s Chief Executive, Jennie Price, who was asked questions in relation to:

  • How participation can be increased, particularly among under-represented groups
  • How best practice and the numerous benefits of sport in the health, social and educational spheres might be better researched and communicated to policy makers and those who deliver projects
  • How the EU might act in these areas
