Committee to hear evidence on Olympic and Paralympic Games

The Culture, Media and Sport Committee will hold two oral evidence sessions in December as part of its ongoing scrutiny of preparations for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
On Tuesday 14 December the Committee will hear from the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, (LOCOG), responsible for staging the Games, and also from the Olympic Delivery Authority, the public body which has developed and built the new Games venues and infrastructure.
In a second panel the Committee will discuss elite athletics with the British Olympic Association and the British Paralympic Association.
On Tuesday 21 December the Committee will hold its first meeting since the election with the new Minister for the Olympics, Hugh Robertson MP.

The session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Timings and room numbers allocated to Committees are subject to change.
