PASC to hold final evidence session on “What Ministers do”

In its final public evidence session on its inquiry into “What do Ministers do?”, the Public Administration Select Committee will quiz a minister from each of the governing parties about their roles in a coalition government on Tuesday 7 December in Committee Room 18 at the House of Commons

- William Rickett CB, former senior civil servant and Dan Corry, former special adviser
In its final public evidence session, the Public Administration Select Committee will hear from two current ministers, a former civil servant and a former special adviser. The session will focus on the current realities of ministerial life. Particular issues that may arise include:
- whether there are currently too many ministers?;
- how productively ministers’ time is spent?;
- whether there are functions ministers should no longer perform;
- the impact of the coalition on the work of ministers; and
- if there is a need to improve the training that ministers receive.
