Committee to quiz Minister on ring-fenced aid budget

The International Development Committee, chaired by Malcolm Bruce MP, will hold its first evidence session on Thursday 15 July with the Secretary of State, Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP. 

The Committee will question the new Secretary of State on his plans for the Department for International Development, including:

  • DFID’s aid budget and aid effectiveness;
  • DFID’s role in Whitehall;
  • DFID’s role in the multilateral system;
  • Sectoral and bilateral programmes

The session is open to the public and will be held in Committee Room 15, starting at 10.30am.
