- Watch the meeting: Lessons from the process of government formation after the 2010 general election
The meeting is on Thursday 4 November at 10 am in the Wilson Room, Portcullis House.
The committee is continuing its inquiry into the practical and constitutional issues that emerged following the general election in May 2010.
This session follows on from the recent evidence sessions with Rt Hon David Laws MP, Lord Adonis, Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP and academics.
The committee will question the Cabinet Secretary on his role, and the role of the civil service, in the formation of the coalition Government and the forthcoming Cabinet Manual.
The Cabinet Manual is currently being prepared by the Cabinet Office and will consolidate existing conventions that govern much of the way central government operates into a single written document.
