FCO Public Diplomacy: The Olympics

The Committee will hold a one-off evidence session on its inquiry into FCO Public Diplomacy: The Olympics.

The session is conceived as an information-gathering exercise, with a view to finding out what the FCO is doing with respect to the Olympics, what the UK might reasonably hope to gain from the event in terms of public diplomacy, and how the FCO can best exploit the Games for public diplomacy purposes; and to identifying any signs of potential successes/problems in the FCO’s work at this stage.
