MPs question Transport Minister on impact of Comprehensive Spending Review

The Commons Transport Committee has called the Secretary of State to give oral evidence on how - in the context of recent decisions about transport spending, including a the 21% cut in the transport budget - he intends to maintain and improve the UK’s transport infrastructure.

The Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR) made some positive commitments to a limited number of transport projects. The committee is keen to learn where the cuts will fall so that they, and the public, can understand how these changes will affect the nation.
