In the first half of its 10th November session, the Committee will hear evidence on Ofsted’s impact on schools improvement, its relationship with the Department for Education, and the quality of its inspectors. Alongside former Chief Inspector Baroness Perry and academic Tony Kelly will be Lynn Jackson, whose school in Staffordshire is one of the most improved in the country. In the second half, representatives of education leader organisations will provide their and members’ views on the consistency of inspection and inspectors, as well as contributing evidence on the mechanics of inspection (including frameworks) and on school leaders’ perceptions of Ofsted more broadly.
