Purpose of session
This is the second evidence session of the Committee’s inquiry into Firearms Control. The aim of the session is to explore evidence on the use of legal firearms in crime and proposals to enhance the system for the licensing of firearms.

“After the recent tragedies in Whitehaven and Northumbria, clarifying which guns are currently legal in the UK, who can access them, how, and for what purposes, will be our first step towards establishing whether our firearms laws are fit for purpose.”
