Oliver Letwin MP, Minister of State at the Cabinet Office and a key figure in the talks to form a coalition government after the general election, gives evidence to the Commons Political and Constitutional Reform Committee.

The Committee is continuing its inquiry into the practical and constitutional issues that emerged following the general election in May 2010.

The meeting is on Thursday 21 October at 10am in the Wilson Room, Portcullis House.

The purpose of this session is to question the witness about his experiences of government formation and transition. This follows on from the recent evidence session with Rt Hon David Laws MP and Lord Adonis.

Topics the Committee is likely to examine include the process of negotiating with the Liberal Democrat party, reasons for entering into a coalition and the status of the coalition’s programme for government.
