Appointment Of Dr Martin Weale To The Monetary Policy Committee

Following its hearing with Dr Martin Weale on the 14 September 2010, the Treasury Committee has agreed that it is satisfied that Dr Martin Weale fulfils the Committee’s two criteria for appointment to the Monetary Policy Committee of professional competence and personal independence. The Treasury Committee wishes him every success as a member of the MPC.
