BBC Trustees Diane Coyle and David Liddiment will give evidence to the House of Lords Communications Committee on Tuesday 5 April. The Committee will also hear from independent programme producers David Henshaw (Hardcash Productions) and Tom Roberts (October Films).  Independent programme producers will also give evidence.

The Committee will ask the Trustees about their role as Trustees, the relationship between the Trust and the BBC Board, and content regulation. The Trustees will also be questioned about the accountability of the BBC Trust and the future of governance and regulation at the BBC.

Mr Henshaw and Mr Roberts will be asked about the ‘compliance culture’ that Lord Patten described in his House of Commons pre-appointment hearing, how independent producers work with the BBC and the commissioning policy of the BBC.
